“Where’d you get the dog?”
“We rescued him. He was in a burning building, drowning.”

I live the best life. I have no complaints. I’m in love. All my thoughts are dead.
Illustration I finished yesterday. I’m working on pieces for the third annual Perfect 10’s show at War’hous Visual Studios.
Self Portrait - Getting Ready
I’ve decided to start getting better at documenting my life. What I go through day to day. It might take a bit to get used to since it’s kind of hard taking photos of yourself and I’m no photographer. Hopefully, this will add a bit more incite into my everyday life.

Concert tonight was awesome, thought we missed the only band I somewhat know; Tiger’s Jaw. It was followed by an equally awesome hangout at a friend’s SUNY Purchase dorm. My sister had mentioned during the party how funny it is that here no one knows what I do and it struck me that the most relaxing part of this vacation is the fact that no one knows me. It just feels good to be anonymous I guess. Anyway, we left early so we could catch a ride and sleep in our own place and not on someone’s hard beer-stained floor. Sadly(?) not before this awesomely terrible picture was taken:

I want to lol but I can’t because my mom will know I’m not doing hw
Loosing all my shit.

I’m in New York! My flight came in yesterday, which apparently was one of the coldest days in weeks, go figure. My mother left on her cruise not two hours ago so my sister and I have the place to ourselves for a while.
There’s an odd feeling in visiting this place, not quite nostalgia. Like there’s something that doesn’t quite fit what I remember, but that something is just me and all the time I’ve spent away. The best proof that this place is not my home anymore.
That being said I am glad to be here on vacation, I’ve missed this place and these people. I’ve missed the smell of the Atlantic and the frost in the air, spiking every breeze like whiskey does my drink. I’ve missed how compact everything is, like I’m moving through a small scale model of some other town. I cannot wait to eat the foods I cannot reach back home in Houston, and I cannot wait to see my city again. A place so grand they named it twice.
Also, I’m quickly falling in love with this redhead as I explore Snorgtees.com;

Erin Marquez and I at Dandee’s Ridiculously 80’s Show. Too much awesome for one photo.
Dandee Warhol’s Ridiculously 80’s Show was a blast. I co-curated the event and ran the fashion show, in which David Miyouchi took this awesome picture of me. Awesome life.
DAY 13 of 366
Note: Friday the 13th! Dandee had a kick ass 80’s art and fashion show in downtown. Of course it was BALLER and I had tons of fun. Pictured is Dandee, me, and Dom (my roommate) who happens to have MY sweater on over MY Star Wars shirt. HE’S SUCH A MEAT MARKET! If anyone reading this is curious, Dandee was featured in The NY Times for a Smurf art show he put on a few months back. He owns an art gallery in Houston called War’Haus Visual Studios. His place has hosted many events including a KAWS (artist from NY) designed Hennessy Bottle Release Party. I always have great times with the gallery crew. Also, Dom is a bad ass artist who IS going to be famous together..
WE’RE CONQUERING HOUSTON TOGETHER
Also, Dom and I danced in the B-boy contest but lost… Dom ran the fashion show, kicked out the guy we call Douchebag, and we all had multiple double shots and drinks in the VIP section. (My night ended with whiskey on the rocks.) Seriously, how am I blessed with such an amazing life?
I just now saw this. I love me my Erin Marquez.
